Washington, D.C. – In his address to Congress Tuesday night Barack Obama was emphatic that the country’s road to economic recovery will begin with widespread usage of the magicJack, which would save the country billions of dollars.
The magicJack, which is a computer device that provides internet-based telephone service (VoIP), works in conjunction with a telephony service provided by the YMAX Corporation. Together, they allow consumers to plug their landline telephones into their computer to make local and long distance phone calls. It was invented by Dan Borislow and in January 2008 it was named an “Editors’ Choice” by PC Magazine.
The popularity of the magicJack has been steadily increasing since its release as more and more people are finding out that it’s an amazing money saving device that eliminates your monthly phone bill, putting up to $1,000 a year back in your pocket tax-free! It’s this money saving aspect that President Obama hopes to tap into.
During his address to Congress Obama stated, “We are in the midst of a dark economic crisis, and to ensure that a crisis of this magnitude never happens again, I am asking Congress to move quickly on legislation that will require all federal buildings be stripped of their current telephony systems and switched over to the magicJack.”
The proclamation was met with thunderous applause as well as a standing ovation from congressional members from both sides of the aisle.
After the address, Obama said that the idea was proposed during the fiscal responsibility summit that was held at the White House on Monday. “I’m not sure who blurted out the magicJack idea first, it could have been Carper [Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del.], but I’m not positive. What I do know is that it spread like wildfire and it was the only item of the day that everyone in the room agreed on, because, really, who wouldn’t to get a phone number for life that included free voice mail, free caller ID, and free directory assistance?”
Obviously, switching all U.S. federal buildings over to magicJacks will take time, and the order and timing of which buildings will switch over still remains to be decided. Insiders are speculating that the city of Washington, D.C. would be the first to be converted with buildings around the country being ranked and switched over according to number of phone lines needed.

Are your facts straight? I am not trying to be a jerk, on the other hand I don’t distinguish how this makes total sense!
