Larely, CA – Local adult film star Tate Browncock was the focus of attention in the adult film world today when he announced that he would be giving up anal sex for lent this year.

Lent, a forty day long liturgical season of fasting and prayer before Easter that represents the time Jesus spent in the desert and endured temptation by Satan, is typically marked by fasting and acts of penance.  It has also become common in today’s society for someone to give up a vice of theirs in an effort to identify with the sufferings of Jesus.  The elimination of a vice also helps to remove preoccupying elements of life so that there is more room for God.

Browncock’s move also places adult film directors in a bind, as Tate is regarded as doing the best anal in the industry.  In fact, Joone, a very popular adult film director said that Browncock “Really develops a rapport with the female stars before he backdoors them, and they appreciate it.  That’s really important because everyone knows that other than kissing, anal sex is probably the most intimate act that can occur between two people.  Any director looking to make a film featuring anal sex is going to have to seriously debate holding off on production until after Easter.”

Joone also pointed out that the 40 days won’t be completely lost as Browncock has assured directors that he will continue to film scenes with traditional intercourse as well as continue to make his usual wide variety of fetish films.  In fact Joone believes that this will help Browncock’s career in the long run because “pushing himself outside of his comfort zone for these 40 days will make him a much more versatile actor.”
