Larely, CA – With black Friday upon us once again, Larely’s Boxcar Liquors is stocking up for what is typically its busiest day of the year. As usual, Boxcar Liquors will open at 5AM and will be slashing prices on malt liquor, box wine, ice brewed beer, Boone’s Farm wines, and flavored rubbing alcohols.

With door buster sales taking place all over the city, Boxcar Liquors has become a “must stop” for Black Friday shoppers looking for that smokin’ deal. Year after year they astonish everyone with how long they are willing go on prices.

In order to accommodate the rush, they have also increased the number of employees that will be working, as well as hired additional security since things got ugly last year during a dispute between two customers. According to owner Bruno Esposito, “We were blowing out 24 packs of Natural Ice for $5.00 each and when it came down to the last case, two people grabbed it at the same time. They argued for a while about who was there first, and they ended up getting into a crazy knife fight right there in the store. It was unbelievable… they stabbed the shit out of each other.”

Jaw dropping Black Friday prices aside, it should also be known that one of Boxcar Liquors’ biggest priorities is giving back to the community that has done so much for them over the years. Esposito notes, “We wouldn’t be here without the fine people of Larely. That’s why we make a charitable donation every year on Black Friday. Last year, for instance, we took ten cases of Mad Dog 20/20 (18% alc. by vol.) over to the homeless shelter to help keep people warm. This year, we’re planning on donating at least that many cases of Night Train Express (17.5% alc. by vol.).” However, Espositio is quick to downplay the repeated praise that is showered upon him for his philanthropic activities, simply saying, “It takes a village, it takes a village.”

Esposito is also quick to credit Boxcar Liquors’ policies for increasing their success in Larely. “A lot of stores impose limitations on how much change you can use to pay for liquor. We wholeheartedly disagree with that, and have even installed a coin counting machine by our checkout counter to help Larely’s change enthusiasts count their money and pay us [ed. note: Boxcar Liquors takes a 20% cut]. Another terrible policy is that a lot of stores won’t serve already intoxicated customers. I’m a firm believer that if they can get themselves through the door, it’s my job to make sure they go back through those doors with booze in their hands.”
